POEMS is a parent-led group for families of students with learning differences and disabilities. POEMS aims to be a parent voice for the education and social-emotional well-being of students within the Moraga School District. We hope that by connecting with one another, offering support, and sharing resources we will create a collaborative community of parents to effectively advocate and ensure our student's needs are being met.

Social Events:
Below are the schedule of family social events for the 2024/25 school year which will also be posted to the website.
- September 14th – 2024/25 POEMS kick-off event at Moraga Commons
- October 31st - Trick or Treating Together
- December 3rd - Mountain Mike's Pizza Social
- February 8th - Pottery and Pizza
- April 12th - Spring Egg Hunt
- May 24th - End of School Picnic at Moraga Commons
Parent Meetings:
In addition to the social events above, we will be holding three focused meetings for parents to discuss specific topics and share information that are important to our families. Topics may include IEP challenges and solutions, navigating school resources, summer camps and summer activities, etc. and will be provided prior to each meeting. The meetings will all be held in the JM library from 6:00-7:30 and will be on the second Wednesday of October, February, and April.
