Next Generation Science Standards
The California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) allow students the opportunity to experience rich science learning across their TK-8th grade experience. NGSS requires students to use the skills of scientists with the Science and Engineering Practices while developing their understanding of science content. Students will participate in Physical Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, and Engineering at all grade levels. This will allow students to develop a deep, working knowledge of science in individual disciplines and experience how science spans across disciplines with the Crosscutting Concepts.
NGSS for Parents
The CA Next Generation Science Standards allows students to grow as scientists and citizens. This will be accomplished through a progressive and coherent science curriculum that allows all students, TK-8, in the Moraga School District to experience science in the classroom.
